by focariedu21 inhy guys the other day my wife had a discussion with her jws brother and he told her that he received all posted material from this site posted by myself and was disgusted with the information.
now that's all fine by me but what i am pissed about is that some one in here from sydney australia is a mole and pretends to be an ex jws while all the while exposing each and every one he knows as in my case.
you are one big coward and one who hides behind a skirt a yellow and a chicken shit whom doesn't have the balls to face me in person because you obviously know who i am.

Differences Between JWs in the US and Europe
by BU2B inthere are many cultural differences between the general population of the us and europe, what about jws?
i have heard about such things as beards being allowed, movies that a jw cant watch in the us or would be frowned upon watching being ok, same with tv shows, and even the way they dress in public.
seems more laid back over there if this is true.. any truth to this?

" I remember some sisters from Scandenavia thought it odd that we didn't toast. Also not so hung up on wordly association. One would often bring her friend from the office to gatherings "
This sounds strange to me. Absolutnley no toasting in Scandinavia, at least not in Sweden, and probably also norway. Denmark is consedered very "liberal" in Scandinavia.
But there are differences in Scandianavia, I have heared that they used to have dancing at JW-wedings in Norway. In sweden I have only seen this in spanish-speaking congregations.

During my time as a JW most people that ware DF'ed got it for some kind of sexual immorality. I think that nowdays it is more commeon that people get DF'ed for apostacy. If the elders can't get them for apostacy, they can also get DF'ed for "brazen conduct". Brazen conduct seems to be almost everything.

Local needs talk
by hoser inone of the elders was missing his service bag and suspected that one of the publishers stole it.
he was determined to root out who did it so he decided to give a local needs part on the ten commandments focusing on you must not steal.. he enlisted the help of a trusted ministerial servant and got him to stand at the back of the kingdom hall during the part.
he told the ms that he would read off the ten commandments and when he got to the one "you must not steal" he would pause longer than usual and see if anyone acted nervous or suspicious.

I remember one thing that happened.
A summer evening some young JW people were invited to a young sister in the congregation. It was a very hot evening, so I and some other brothers took off our ties. I put my tie on this sisters bed (she lived in a tiny one room appartement). But the tie probably fell to the floor during the evening, and when I was going home I forgot it, and went away without my tie.
The next morning (a sunday), this sister was to go out in field cirkus with a pioneer sister in the congregation. When she arrived at the appartement they first had a cup of coffee. As they were drinking their coffee, the pioneer sister observed my tie under the sisters bed! :-)
I guess she had some explanation to do! She was very embarrased when she phoned me about my tie.

LOL! That one was really good.
This reminds me of something that happened to me. I worked as a teacher in a "not so good" suburb to one of the major cities in my country. In that school some boys were putting on fires, to get the fire alarm going and the fire brigade to come.
When the alarm bells sounded all student were supposed to evacuate an to gather at a football ground close to the school. So when the alarm went on I ran to the football ground with my students. For some reason I forgot my bag/briefcase at the football ground when the fire was put out. We went in to the building, continuing the school day. Then I discovered...my briefcase is gone. I could not find it. I looked for it around the school, but I could not see it anywhere.
Then I remembered the fire alarm...maybe I forgot my bag at the football ground. I thought that if I did, it would certainly be stolen, and all my important stuf in it should be gone. But anyhow..I went to the football ground and saw my briefcase. Nothing in it was stolen or removed. Those teenagers were really honest and good to me. They were not JW's! :-P

Yes, true! I hope we don't scare the "loonies" and apologist away. In the long run....they might need us and this forum. Let's look at it as a possibility to awaken people and help them get out.
